
Biography
Lucy Peacock is a native Texan, born and raised in Jacksonville, Texas. She went to Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. Lucy Peacock lives with her husband in Berlin, Germany, and has a son who lives in New York City. She was a member of the Deutsche Oper Berlin for many years. Here began her intermational career.
In many concerts Lucy Peacock has sung with such conductors as Giulini, Leinsdorf, Osawa, Sawallisch, P. Schneider, Sinopoli, Viotti, Luisi and Thieleman, to name a few.
Lucy Peacock has performed at some of the most famous opera companies in the world: La Scala, the Wiener Staatsoper, the Los Angeles Opera and many of the opera houses in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. She was a guest of the Salzburg Festival and the Bayreuth Festival, where she sang Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg under the direction of Wolfgang Wagner.
Lucy Peacock has sung lots of premiers under the direction of Ustinov, Rennert, Schenk, Everding, Beauvais, del Monaco, Friedrich, Homoki and Krämer.
TV in Germany was also not without Lucy Peacock. She starred in many game shows and in the operas The Magic Flute, Martha, Les Huguenots and the operetta The Opera Ball.
